Training Series for the MRAPartners-Georgia conducts training series for the Ministry of Refugee and Accommodation (MRA) of Georgia. . Trainings aim to increase the capacity of employees of the MRA in various directions. Initial training topics include conflict management, negotiations and mediation. The program is being implemented with the financial support of the Danish Refugee Council.

Strategic Planning for NRCPartners-Georgia facilitated Strategic Planning workshop for Norwegian Refugee Council in Georgia. Milena Mitagvaria, Vazha Kvernadze and Lela Giorgobiani facilitated sessions in Chakvi in October 5-8. Total of 60 employees of NRC participated in the workshop, which aimed at revision of the donor's exit strategy at the end of the 2011.

Trainings for Probation Officers of Ministry of JusticePartners Georgia in September 25-28 conducted a 4-day Training of Trainers for selected probation officers of the Ministry of justice of Georgia. Trainings aimed at increasing participants' capacity in designing and delivering in-house trainings independently. Training program was organized in frames of the EU funded program on Support of Rule of Low in Georgia.

Community Education Centers Training completedPartners-Georgia completed training series in Koda, Shaumani, Senaki and Jvari community education centers. Trainings had been implemented in frames of the project of the DVV International and aimed at capacity building of local community representatives and IDPs settled in these villages.

Leaders' Summer School completedIn August 31 - September 5, the Leaders' Summer School was organized in Backswood international school, Tskneti. The School was realized in frames of the Confidence Building in South Caucasus Program, being implemented by UNA-Georgia and UNA-Sweden, in cooperation with Partners-Georgia. Leaders' Summer School aimed at capacity building of civil society activists from Shida Kartli, Samtskhe Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions of Georgia through special skill-building trainings and other educational activities, providing time and space for experience exchange among young leaders.

Trainings for Community education centers in cooperation with DVV International Training series for community education centers are in Progress. In July-September Partners-Georgia conducts trainings in Koda, Shaumiani, Senaki and Jvari Community education centers in frames of the project of the DVV international. Trainings aim to capacity building of IDPs settled in villages and local community representatives. Training topics are the role of civil society and leadership; and the proposal writing.

Culturally Sensitive Treatment of Post Trauma Seminar in TurkeyPartners-Georgia's Trainer-Consultant Tea Gvelesiani participated in Culturally Sensitive Treatment of Post Trauma Seminar, held in Turkey in July 14-23. Training-seminar involved trainers, consultants and psychotherapists from several countries and was supported by The NATO Science for Peace and Security Program. The workshop included a series of lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises. Trainings-seminar was held in Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Trainings for National Screening CenterIn July 10-11, Partners-Georgia delivered the Effective Customer Service training for the personnel of the National Screening Center. Altogether, 22 participants attended the training, which lasted for two full working days. The training program was designed to respond to the main needs identified by the NSC management and aimed to improve the customer relation skills of the personnel, which are in direct contact with Center clients.

Management Trainings for Bi-lingual School DirectorsIn May 24-25, training in management skills was conducted by Partners-Georgia in Hotel "Betsy". Training was organized for bi-lingual school directors from Tbilisi and regions of Georgia. Need for this training was identified during the re-treat workshop organized a month before by Partners-Georgia in frames of the USAID funded NITG program. This training was the last training event in frames of the NITG training component, led by Partners-Georgia for last 4 years.

Training for Summer Camp Leaders In May 1-5, in frames of the grant received from EPER, the training was conducted by Partners-Georgia for Armenian, Azerbaijanian and Georgian leaders and coordinators of the project “Summer Holidays for Socially Vulnerable Youth� - 25 persons altogether. Training Program aimed to overview and finalize the summer camp program and to empower participants to effectively implement summer camp program.

Series of trainings for World Vision personnelTrainings for health promotion and community development program staff of the World Vision, lead by Partners-Georgia trainers, are in progress. 15-20 participants of various groups are being trained in decision making, time management, public speaking, meeting facilitation, effective management. Trainings started in March and will end in June 2010.

NITG Program Training Component RetreatToday, on April 8, a summarizing meeting of the National Integration and Tolerance 4-year program's training-component was conducted in hotel “Betsy��?. Meeting was aimed at summarizing implemented training activities in frames of the NITG Program. Participants gave feedback about the training component of the program, and identified needs, which still exist and are important to support National Integration processes in the country. Meeting was lead by Tea Gvelesiani and Natia Gophodze (trainers from Partners-Georgia). 25 Participants were SCO representatives from Tbilisi (members of diversity management trainers' network), and regions of Georgia, bi-lingual schools principals from Samtskhe-Javakheti, Gardabani and Tbilisi, Civic Education Center representatives from Samtkhe-Javakheti and Gardabani.

Trainings for the Security Police Department staffPartners-Georgia completed contract with Security Police Department. Information service staff of SPD in 5-day training became skilled at effective telephone service, effective communication with costumer. Participants widely discussed their needs and received useful recommendations from Partners-Georgia's professional trainer-consultants.

Partners-Georgia will advance its HICD capacityOn March 9-10, 2010 four trainer consultants from Partners-Georgia will take part in advanced HICD (Human and Institutional Capacity Development) methodology training delivered by international consultant, Performance Design International Director and authorized representative Mr. Klaus D. Wittkuhn. Training is organized in frames of the FORECAST program and will take place at CTC venue.

Trainings for Ilia State University lecturersPartners-Georgia started collaboration with Ilia State University and conducted trainings for recently recruited lecturers on interactive methods of teaching/leraning. Trainings aim at motivating students during the lectures and making teaching process diversed and more interesting. In frames of the contract 50 lecturers will go through trainings.

Effective Management trainings for Zugdidi and oti local governments representativesIn February 5-6, Effective Management training for 17 representatives of Zugdidi and Foti local self-government was conducted in Zugdidi, in cooperation with Association Atinati. Training was led by Partners-Georgia's trainer-consultants. The major goal of Training was to introduce key issues of team working, effective communication, decision making etc. In February 26-27 the same group of participants will receive the participatory planning training from Partners-Georgia.

The First Phase of the Education Program for Shida Kartli Region Successfully CompletedPartners-Georgia in cooperation with Partners Polska Foundation has successfully completed the implementation of the joint project “Education as Local Development Tool: Supporting School Decentralization in Shida Kartli region of Georgia" financed by the Polish Aid Program 2009 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. One of the major project deliverable was the book “Naturally Interesting Lesson" along with its' DVD companion containing descriptions and video of more than 40 experiential lessons in biology, chemistry and physics. Book and DVD serve as the methodological aid for corresponding school teachers. Hard copies of the book have been distributed in public schools of Shida Kartli region, while limited amount of the publication and video is still available at Partners-Georgia office. According to the latest news, in 2010 Partners-Polska will continue the implementation of the program in Shida Kartli, as well as pilot it in Samtskhe-Javakheti region (Akhaltsikhe).
